It Started With a Calling.

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

More Than a Logo
The LifeLong logo is two L's intertwined in an infinity loop. LIFE stands for Lead, Inspire, Form, Educate, representing the mission of the adults who guide the program. LONG stands for Learn, Own, Navigate, Give, representing the teen’s journey.
The loop closes on Give, because teens who complete or are involved with this program are equipped to give back to their families, their communities, and eventually to the next generation walking in behind them.
100+
Teenagers equipped with real-world life skills.
50+
Families strengthened through a single teen's growth.
10+
Custom programs built around individual needs.
Origin Story
Carly Merritt has spent most of her life raising children who weren't her own. As a nanny, a military veteran, and a lifelong learner, she kept noticing the same gap: kids were graduating without knowing how to manage money, cook a meal, speak in public, or navigate the basics of adult life. One morning, during her Bible study, she heard something she couldn't shake: GET. IT. STARTED. She didn't know exactly what. But SHE KNEW. She pushed back. She wasn't ready. And every day for a couple months, the same message came back: GET. IT. STARTED. It’s time. So she finally did..
LifeLong was born out of a conviction that if one teen, equipped with the right tools and knowledge, can change a family. And that one family can change a community and continue on wherever that teen or family goes. The infinity loop in our logo isn't just design. It's the whole vision: learn, grow, and give back.

The People Behind It
LifeLong is led by Carly and a board of three community members who share her passion for investing in the next generation. They are volunteers, advocates, and dear friends who are already deeply involved in making their community better and wanted to bring this program to life alongside her.
