What We Teach

Preparing them for real life, one teen, one family, one community at a time.

Financial Literacy

Money doesn't come with a manual, but it should. We teach teenagers how credit cards work, what an APR actually means, how to write a check, how to manage debt, how to build a savings account, applying for home/auto loans, what it means to invest in retirement and more.. We help them start building the financial foundation that follows them for the rest of their lives.

Life &
Home Skills

Cooking a meal, doing laundry, and keeping a clean space are not small things. They are the building blocks of independence. We make sure every teenager leaves knowing how to take care of themselves and their home. We will teach basic home maintenance items: checking air filters, who to go to when there’s a problem, checking air filters, unclogging toilet/drains, identifying mold or water damages, CPR, how to use a fire extinguisher, basic gardening and  more),

Public Speaking & Confidence

How you carry yourself in a room matters. We teach teenagers how to use their voice, make eye contact, shake hands, body language, and speak with confidence. These are the skills that open doors in every area of life (including but not limited to interviewing, interning, how to get that promotion, networking, speaking on the phone versus speaking in person, conflict resolutions, critical thinking skills, situational and self awareness and more)

Tactical Skills

A flat tire doesn't care how old you are. We cover the hands-on, practical skills that most adults wish someone had taught them sooner, from changing a tire to checking your oil. We make sure teenagers aren't caught off guard by real life. We will also be teaching how to address an envelope, time/calendar management, how to register to vote and why it’s important, basic self defense and more.

One Program.
A Lifetime of Impact.

Building confident, capable teenagers starting right here in Tennessee.

LifeLong was born from a simple conviction that one teenager, equipped with the right tools, can change a family. And one family can change a community. Founded by Carly Merritt, a military veteran and lifelong nanny who spent years watching kids grow up without the basics nobody taught them, LifeLong exists to close that gap. Custom Programs. Real skills. A ripple impact that doesn't stop.
